Blairocrinus was named by Miller (1891) [Sepkoski's age data: C Tour-l C Tour-u Sepkoski's reference number: 986]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Actinocrinitinae by Ubaghs et al. (1978); and to Monobathrida by Sepkoski (2002).
