Taxonomy
Dacrycarpus geminus was named by Pole (1992) [Referred specimens: SB142, SB143, SB150, SB202, S115.]. It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Holotype: S115, housed in the Department of Plant Science, University of Tasmania., a cuticle, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Hasties, which is in an Eocene/Eocene fluvial mudstone/gravel in Australia.
