Taxonomy
Cyrtoscydmus capucinus was named by Schaufuss (1890). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber, Danziger Naturkundemuseum Helm collection, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in Poland.
It was recombined as Stenichnus (Cyrtoscydmus) capucinus by Chatzimanolis and Engel (2011); it was recombined as Stenichnus capucinus by Jałoszyński and Perkovsky (2016).
