Drazinderetes tethyensis
Taxonomy
Drazinderetes tethyensis was named by Head et al. (1999). Its type specimen is GSP-UM 3195, a set of postcrania (partial carapace), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bari Nadi 7, which is in a Bartonian marine shale in the Drazinda Formation of Pakistan. It is the type species of Drazinderetes.

(posterior?) costiform processes (shaded in Fig. 5) that are completely fused to the ventral surface of the dermal nuchal and constrained within the lateral margins of the bony carapace. Distal ends of the costiform processes are overlapped ventrally by the first costal ribs. The bony carapace is ovoid with a slightly concave posterior margin. A preneural is present. |
