Bibio miocenicus

Taxonomy
Bibio miocenica was named by Hong and Wang (1985). Its type specimen is Beijing Museum of Natural History 80117, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Shanwang, Linqu County, collection 79/80 (Beijing Museum), which is in a Burdigalian lacustrine - large mudstone in the Shanwang Formation of China.

It was corrected as Bibio miocenicus by Evenhuis (1994).
