Bibio vulpinus

Taxonomy
Bibio vulpina was named by Statz (1943). Its type specimen is LACMIP 3375, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Rott (Statz Collection), which is in a Chattian lacustrine - small shale in the Rott Formation of Germany.

It was corrected as Bibio vulpinus by Evenhuis (1994) and Skartveit and Wedmann (2021).
