Neodichocrinus was named by Wanner (1937) [Sepkoski's age data: P Guad-u Sepkoski's reference number: 2]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Dichocrinidae by Ubaghs et al. (1978); and to Monobathrida by Sepkoski (2002).
