Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
E. W. Berry 1937Leaves with moderate size, subelliptical in outline, widest medianly, the full convex margins narrowing equally distal and proximal to the equally blunt apex and base. Margins with small closely spaced crenate teeth. Texture subcoriaceous. Length about 7.5 cm. Maximum width 4.25 cm. Petiole not preserved, obviously stout. Midvein stout and prominent. A single lateral primary on either side diverges from the midvein at an acute angle from the top of the petiole; these are nearly as stout and prominent as the midvein, they ascend rather straightly to the tip of the leaf where they become lost by union with the camptodrome branches from the distal outside of the lowest secondaries. There are five or six regularly spaced camptodrome laterals from the outside of the lateral primaries. The secondaries from the midvein are 2 or 3 on each side from its distal half; they are thin, diverging at acute angles, ascendingly curved and camptodrome. The tertiaries are thin, mostly simple and transverse in attitude. Areolation indistinct.
