Taxonomy
Cimomia ogbei was named by Adegoke (1977). Its type specimen is UIMG 520, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ewekoro Quarry, which is in a Selandian open shallow subtidal packstone in the Ewekoro Formation of Nigeria.
