Taxonomy
Anagaudryceras seymouriense was named by Macellari (1986). Its type specimen is OSU 38333, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Gaudryceras seymouriense by Shigeta et al. (2015) and Shigeta and Maeda (2023).
