Catillocrinus was named by Shumard (1886) [Sepkoski's age data: C Tour-u C Vise-l Sepkoski's reference number: 704]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Catillocrinidae by Webster and Lane (1987); and to Disparida by Sepkoski (2002).
