Chirocrinus was named by Angelin (1878) [Sepkoski's age data: S Ldov S Wenl Sepkoski's reference number: 250]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Disparida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Calceocrinidae by Ausich and Copper (2010).
