Taxonomy
Copalonema colombiana was named by Poinar (2011). Its type specimen is Poinar N-3-11 and is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Colombian copal (Poinar coll), which is in a Holocene terrestrial amber in Colombia. It is the type species of Copalonema.
