Taxonomy
Conus vimineus was named by Reeve (1849) [DISTRIBUTION: Oligocene-Recent; Indo-Pacific.]. It is extant.

It was recombined as Conus (Leptoconus) vimineus by Vredenburg (1921), Vredenburg (1925) and Mukerjee (1939); it was recombined as Viminiconus vimineus by Tucker and Tenorio (2009); it was recombined as Conasprella (Fusiconus) vimineus by Puillandre et al. (2015).
