Taxonomy
Kashmirites shevyrevi was named by Zakharov and Smyshlyaeva (2013). Its type specimen is DVGI 115/851, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Artyom SMID quarry, unit D-1, southern Primorye, which is in a Smithian marine mudstone in the Zhitkov Formation of the Russian Federation.
