Taxonomy
Ammonites baborensis was named by Coquand (1880).

It was recombined as Partschiceras baborense by Förster (1975) and Szives (2007); it was recombined as Phyllopachyceras baborense by Aliev (1958), Collignon (1962) and Vasicek et al. (2014).
