Taxonomy
Haplocrinites was named by Troost (1850) [Sepkoski's age data: D Eife D Fras Sepkoski's reference number: 1066]. It is not extant. Its type is Eugeniacrinites mespiliformis. It is the type genus of Haplocrinitidae.

It was assigned to Disparida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Haplocrinitidae by Webster and Rakhmonov (2009).
