Taxonomy
Iocrinus was named by Hall (1866) [Sepkoski's age data: O Aren-l O Ashg-m Sepkoski's reference number: 1066]. It is not extant. It is the type genus of Iocrinidae.

It was assigned to Iocrinidae by Ramsbottom (1961) and Ausich (1998); and to Disparida by Sepkoski (2002).
