Abrotocrinus was named by Miller and Gurley (1890) [Sepkoski's age data: C Tour-l C Vise-l]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Staphylocrinidae by Ubaghs et al. (1978); and to Cladida by Sepkoski (2002).
