Adacrinus was named by Pabian and Strimple (1985) [Sepkoski's age data: C Mosc-u C Step-u]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Cladida by Sepkoski (2002); to Cymbiocrinidae by Pabian and Rushlau (2002); and to Aesiocrinidae by Webster and Lane (2007).
