Gorytes archoryctes

Taxonomy
Hoplisus archoryctes was named by Cockerell (1922). Its type specimen is USNM 69182, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Head of Bear Gulch, which is in a Bridgerian lacustrine - large shale in the Green River Formation of Colorado.

It was recombined as Gorytes archoryctes by Pulawski (2014).
