Taxonomy
Charientocrinus was named by Goldring (1923) [Sepkoski's age data: D Give D Fras]. It is not extant. Its type is Charientocrinus ithacensis.

It was assigned to Glossocrinidae by McIntosh (2001); and to Cladida by Sepkoski (2002).
