Taxonomy
Plesiospitidiscus boljetinensis was named by Vasicek et al. (2013). Its type specimen is RGF DR5/17, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Boljetin Hill, level 42, which is in a Barremian deep subtidal marl/limestone in the Donji Milanovac Formation of Serbia and Montenegro.
