Taxonomy
Cricocrinus was named by Strimple and Watkins (1969) [Sepkoski's age data: C Mosc-u]. It is not extant. It is the type genus of Cricocrinidae.

It was assigned to Cricocrinidae by Ubaghs et al. (1978); to Cladida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Erisocrinoidea by Webster and Donovan (2015).
