Taxonomy
Aphragmus sohli was named by Cooper (1983). Its type specimen is USNM 550931a, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is La Goupillère hill, Le Mans area, which is in a Cenomanian marine sandstone in France. It is the type species of Aphragmus.
