Taxonomy
Biplicatoria hunstantonensis was named by Cooper (1983). Its type specimen is USNM 64628a, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cliffs at Hunstanton, Norfolk (Red Chalk), which is in an Albian carbonate limestone in the Hunstanton Formation of the United Kingdom.
