Cydonocrinus was named by Bather (1913) [Sepkoski's age data: C Vise-u P Guad-u Sepkoski's reference number: 906]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Codiacrininae by Webster (1987); and to Cladida by Sepkoski (2002).
