Eireocrinus was named by Wright (1951) [Sepkoski's age data: C Tour-l C Tour-u Sepkoski's reference number: 906]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Decadocrinidae by Webster et al. (1999); and to Cladida by Sepkoski (2002).
