Taxonomy
Glossocrinus was named by Goldring (1923) [Sepkoski's age data: D Fras]. It is not extant. Its type is Glossocrinus naplesensis. It is the type genus of Glossocrinidae.

It was assigned to Glossocrinidae by McIntosh (2001); and to Cladida by Sepkoski (2002).
