Halogetocrinus was named by Strimple and Moore (1971) [Sepkoski's age data: C Mosc-l P Asse]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Ampelocrininae by Pabian and Strimple (1974); and to Cladida by Sepkoski (2002).
