Hemiindocrinus was named by Yakovlev (1927) [Sepkoski's age data: P Leon]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Sundacrinidae by Ubaghs et al. (1978); to Cladida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Cromyocrinidae by Webster and Webster (2012).
