Taxonomy
Almerarhynchia kunradensis was named by Simon (2003). Its type specimen is IRScNB-MI 10889, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kunrade area (IRScNB Ubaghs collection), which is in a Maastrichtian carbonate limestone in the Kunrade Formation of the Netherlands.
