Taxonomy
Cretirhynchia (Harmignirhynchia) obourgensis was named by Simon and Owen (2001). Its type specimen is IRScNB-IST 10847, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Harmignies (Craie de Nouvelles), which is in a Campanian carbonate chalk in the Craie de Nouvelles Formation of Belgium.
