Lampadosocrinus was named by Strimple and Koenig (1956) [Sepkoski's age data: C Tour-u C Bash-l Sepkoski's reference number: 906]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Streblocrinidae by Webster and Jell (1992); and to Cladida by Sepkoski (2002).
