Linocrinus was named by Goldring (1939) [Sepkoski's age data: C Tour-u C Serp-l Sepkoski's reference number: 906]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Zeacrinitidae by Ubaghs et al. (1978); and to Cladida by Sepkoski (2002).
