Taxonomy
Cladiscites mendenhalli was named by Smith (1927). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Locality 10304 (30B), Canning River, which is in a Carnian marine horizon in Alaska.

It was recombined as Sphaerocladiscites mendenhalli by Gamsjäger (1982).
