Taxonomy
Collina spinata was named by Guex (1972). Its type specimen is Musée d'Histoire Naturelle de Genève G107, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is St-Paul-des-Fonts, bed 53, which is in a Variabilis marine marl in France.
