Parastylothalamia conica was named by Senowbari-Daryan et al. (2015). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Monte Genuardo reef, Sicily, Italy, which is in a Norian/Rhaetian reef, buildup or bioherm dolomite in Italy.
