Taxonomy
Elasmaspis speciosa was named by Kramarenko (1956). It is not extant. Its type specimen is PIN 589/1263, a cephalon/head. Its type locality is Upper Beds, Podkamennaya Tunguska River, southern Evenkia, which is in a Katian marine siltstone/claystone in the Dolbor Formation of the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Elasmaspis.
