Cymaclymenia subvexa was named by Korn (2014). Its type specimen is MfN MB.C.22658, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bou Ifarherioun (Rücklin collection), which is in a Famennian marine horizon in Morocco.
