Paracymbiocrinus was named by Burdick and Strimple (1973) [Sepkoski's age data: C Serp-l]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Cymbiocrinidae by Ubaghs et al. (1978); to Cladida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Aesiocrinidae by Webster and Lane (2007).
