Parazeacrinites was named by Burdick and Strimple (1971) [Sepkoski's age data: C Vise-u Sepkoski's reference number: 906]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Zeacrinitidae by Ubaghs et al. (1978); and to Cladida by Sepkoski (2002).
