Taxonomy
Parethelocrinus was named by Strimple (1961) [Sepkoski's age data: C Bash-u C Mosc-u Sepkoski's reference number: 257]. It is not extant. Its type is Parethelocrinus ellipticus.

It was assigned to Cromyocrinidae by Pabian and Rushlau (2002); and to Cladida by Sepkoski (2002).
