Leconteites sacramenticus
Taxonomy
Pachydiscus sacramenticus was named by Anderson (1902). Its type specimen is UCMP 12100, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CAS loc. 152, East branch of Hulen Creek, which is in an Albian marine horizon in the Budden Canyon Formation of California. It is the type species of Puzosigella.
It was recombined as Sonneratia sacramentica by Anderson (1938); it was recombined as Puzosigella sacramentica by Casey (1954); it was recombined as Leconteites sacramenticus by Jones et al. (1965).
