Taxonomy
Teicherticeras imago was named by Erben (1965). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Svagerka, Praha-Zlichov, which is in an Emsian carbonate limestone in the Zlichov Formation of the Czech Republic.

It was recombined as Palaeogoniatites imago by Korn and Klug (2002).
