Taxonomy
Laganites tenuis was named by Bogoslovsky (1961). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kakva River, above Tota River, which is in an Emsian carbonate limestone in the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Laganites.

It was recombined as Convoluticeras tenue by Korn and Klug (2002).
