Ramulocrinus was named by Laudon and Parks (1952) [Sepkoski's age data: C Tour-l C Serp-l Sepkoski's reference number: 660]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Decadocrinidae by Ubaghs et al. (1978); and to Cladida by Sepkoski (2002).
