Taxonomy
Rhenocrinus was named by Jaekel (1906) [Sepkoski's age data: D Emsi-l]. It is not extant. It is the type genus of Rhenocrinidae, Rhenocrinacea.

It was assigned to Rhenocrinidae by Ubaghs et al. (1978); and to Cladida by Sepkoski (2002).
