Taxonomy
Nautilus (Paracenoceras) dilatatus was named by Jeannet (1951). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kornberg, near Frick, which is in a Callovian carbonate limestone in Switzerland.

It was recombined as Paracenoceras dilatatus by Kummel (1956); it was recombined as Paracenoceras dilatatum by Tinant (1987).
