Germanonautilus klipsteini
Taxonomy
Trematodiscus klipsteini was named by von Mojsisovics (1882). Its type specimen is GBA 1882/03/317, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Stuores meadow near San Cassiano (GBA coll), which is in a Julian carbonate limestone in the Cassian Formation of Italy.
It was recombined as Tainoceras klipsteini by Parnes et al. (1985) and Parnes (1986); it was recombined as Nautilus klipsteini by Kamoun et al. (1994); it was recombined as Germanonautilus klipsteini by Urlichs (2000).
